What Coaching Is
Coaching is a supportive space to help you:
Understand yourself better
Build confidence and self-trust
Manage nerves, pressure or self-doubt
Make decisions that feel right for you
Take small, realistic steps forward
It’s not therapy or counselling. If I ever feel you need different support, I will talk to you (and your parent/guardian) about that.
Confidentiality
What you say in coaching is private.
If agreed, I will send your parent brief summary bullet points about general themes and any agreed actions.
I won’t share personal details or anything sensitive without telling you first.
The only time I would need to share more information is if I’m worried about your safety or someone else’s safety. If that ever happened, I would explain what I need to do and why.
Your Role
Coaching works best when you:
Show up as honestly as you can
Say if something doesn’t feel right
Try small actions between sessions
Ask questions if you’re unsure
You don’t have to talk about anything you’re not ready to talk about.
You can also decide to stop coaching at any time.
Agreement
I understand what coaching is and I agree to take part in coaching sessions with Gemma Cousins at CORE Coaching.
