THE CONFIDENCE CLASS
THURSDAYS, CHEADLE HULME, 6.30PM - 8PM
The Confidence Class is a gentle, practical space to explore confidence in real life.
Think of it like a yoga class for your confidence:
-
simple tools
-
guided practice
-
supportive group coaching.
No big speeches. No being put on the spot. Just steady, kind support while you learn to feel more at ease in your confident self.
The Confidence Class is designed to help you uncover confidence that feels natural and sustainable, not forced.
Led by ICF accredited coach Gemma Cousins ACC, The Confidence Class is designed to help you uncover confidence that feels natural and sustainable, not forced.

Who The Confidence Class Is For
This class is for you if you:
-
feel a bit wobbly in yourself, even if things look “fine” on the outside
-
want to feel more comfortable speaking up or being seen
-
tend to overthink, second-guess yourself or replay conversations
-
feel tired of trying to “fake it” and want something that actually lasts
-
are curious about coaching but prefer to start in a gentle group setting
You do not need to feel confident to come. You also do not need to know anything about coaching. Just bring yourself, exactly as you are.
Open to adults of all genders.
What Happens In A Class
Each week has a clear, simple structure so you know what to expect:
-
Arrive and settle
A short grounding exercise to help you arrive in the room and out of your head. -
Learn a simple confidence tool
Gemma will introduce a practical idea or tool, drawn from coaching and her 20 years of acting experience. -
Guided practice
You’ll gently try the tool out. This might be through journaling, light movement, paired work or small group exercises. No one is put “on stage.” -
Supportive group discussion
Space to reflect on what you noticed, ask questions and hear from others. Sharing is always an invitation, never an expectation. -
Takeaway for the week
A small, realistic action or reflection you can take into daily life.
How It Helps In Real Life
Over time, the class is designed to help you:
-
speak up when you need to
-
feel steadier in busy or stressful situations
-
understand your needs and boundaries
-
respond more calmly, instead of reacting on autopilot
-
trust your own judgement a little more
-
feel more like yourself again
It is about confidence you can actually use at work, at home, with family, in friendships and with yourself.

What People Often Ask
Do I have to talk in front of everyone?
No. You will be invited to join in, but you never have to share more than you feel comfortable with. Quiet participation is very welcome.
Is this therapy?
No. The Confidence Class is a coaching and skills-based space. We focus on tools, practice and reflection to support you in the present and near future. It can sit alongside therapy if you already have a therapist.
Can I drop in, or do I need to come every week?
You can come on a drop-in basis or book a block of sessions. Regular attendance will help you feel the benefits more deeply, but there is no pressure to be “perfectly” consistent.
I’m really nervous about coming. Is that normal?
Yes. Many people feel anxious before their first session. You are welcome to come exactly as you are. Gemma will guide you gently through what to expect and you are free to participate at your own pace.
